This is basic, preventative health care that should be easily accessible to all women.
Sign this, please.
It can’t hurt.
So this means everyone should be getting their medication for free no matter what they need it for right? Aids, common viral infections, a little Vicodin for that ‘tooth ache’?
I’m not saying you couldn’t find drugs in the streets to abuse but hell, since we’re just giving shit away why not?
You give something away -you have nothing to show for it.
You have nothing to show - you have no funding to produce.
(quality goes down)
You have no funding to produce - you have no funding to improve.
Is a couple bucks for your co-pay really THAT important or going to make that much of a difference on your wallet?? Every little bit helps but I can’t even believe this is an issue when co-pays were never all that much to begin with…
That’s easy to say when you probably have health insurance. Women without health insurance face birth control costs ranging up to $50 a month for the pill, up to $70 a month for something like the NuvaRing/patch, or even $75 per injection for the shot (These are all prices from Planned Parenthood, by the way, which are more reasonable than any other doctor’s office without health insurance). Let’s not forget to mention exam fees here, since no woman can get birth control without a very necessary yearly Pap test, which, by itself, can range up to (over?) $200. Explain to me how $50+ a month is reasonable for anyone.
If you can’t afford health insurance, you can’t afford birth control, much less a child.
One more thing, let’s calm down real quick, because why would you think that free birth control would lead to free everything? Considering how much they make off of prescriptions, I don’t see how that’s going to happen. In all honesty, I have very little faith in this even passing, but I still back it 100%. Preventative health care is fucking important, and I don’t see how you could think otherwise. Because you can afford your “couple bucks” a copay, does not mean everyone can, nor does it mean that that’s what everyone is charged. Is it more important to make money off of something this necessary, or is it more important to keep women healthy, and children wanted, thus, in good care?

So I’ve starting working with this organization Books to Prisons and it RULES. It’s at Foundry United Methodist Church two blocks from Dupont Circle every Wednesday from 5:30-9:00 with several people dropping in for as long as they can. If you’re able to make it, that would RULE!
I don’t live in DC anymore, but this definitely deserves some publicity. If you’re in the area, go! If not, keep the word out there.
Hello :) I’m making a documentary focused on sexual fluidity and the broad range of sexuality. Tumblr users express a wide range of opinions and I hope to get as many of you to share your views as possible. I have created a series of questions related to sexuality that I would like answered in a video or audio submission. My goal is to get a wide range of answers that I can edit into a full-length product. If you or any of your followers what to participate, please come visit the project’s tumblr page: sexualfluidityproject.tumblr.com. Also included is a t-shirt line representing different sexualities and love.
I’d appreciate the help, and hopefully this will be something positive for the LGBT community.
I can't wait for you to be here!
Words can't even describe how stoked I am.
Hey! I keep forgetting to contact you about this, but there’s a possibility that I will need (want) company when I first arrive. Are you near-ish the airport, so that I may call upon your lovely face if need be?
